Banteras for risuah: PEKEMA makes a respectful visit to SPRM | Issue 9
PERSAUAN Merchants and Malaysian Vehicle Impoters (PEKEMA) showed its determination in decomproventing for comproation by carrying out a respectful visit to the Malaysian Board of Coruption (SPRM).
In the one-hour meeting at the SPRM Headquarters, the President of PEKEMA, Datuk Mohamed Nazari Noordin and the Chairman of the SPRM Commissioner, Tan Sri Azam Baki, focused on initiatives and strategic cooperation that can be carried out by both parties in eradicating the symptoms of of rusuay and abuse of power.
Azam said, SPRM is open to establishing close cooperation with PEKEMA to increase the effectiveness of corruption prevention measures in Malaysia.
"It is hoped that the relationship between SPRM and PEKEMA can be strengthened through knowledge sharing in the future with the development of programs such as forums related to corbation issues and information about the SPRM Acts," he said.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Nazari also said, his party expressed his appreciation to SPRM for the cooperation initiative that can strengthen the relationship between PEKEMA and SPRM.
"One of the proposals discussed is the implementation of a special program regarding the Deed of Ripproach and the Act of Prevention of the Use of Haram Money for PEKEMA expert companies in order to provide a deep understanding to PEKEMA members about the investigation procedures carried out by SPRM in some case," he said.
The visit is considered as the first step in building synergy between the private sector and corruption agencies, with the hope of achieving a common goal to create a society free from corsuah symptoms in Malaysia.
After the respectful visit, Nazari was also accompanied by the Vice President of PEKEMA, Dato Wan Sazrudeen Wan Zaid; Secretary of the Honor of PEKEMA, Ahmad Faresh Ahmad Zahid; The Honored Treasurer of PEKEMA, Ikmal Haqemi Ikmal Hisham and the management of PEKEMA. -Edition 9
